MISS WORLD 2009 - National, Contestants and Results

Miss World 2009, the 59th Miss World pageant, will be held on December 12, 2009 at the Sandton Convention Center, Johannesburg, South Africa and the pageant will begin from London, England, where the contestants are expected to arrive on November 7, 2009. Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia will crown her successor at the end of this event. About 120 contestants are expected to attend the event.

November 5 to November 7: Contestants Arrivals and Registration in London, United Kingdom.

November 7: Photo Shoot.

November 8: 16th World Travel Awards, JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel, Contestants will present awards to the winners.

November 9: Miss World Charity Gala, JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel.

November 10: Contestants depart to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

November 15: Contestants depart to Johannesburg, South Africa.

November 17: Miss World Sportswoman 2009 Finals, Winner fast tracked to the semifinals.

November 18: Miss World Golf Competition.

November 22: Contestants depart to Durban, South Africa and stay at the Zimbali Resort Area.

November 24: Miss World Beach Beauty 2009 Finals, Winner fast tracked to the semifinals.

November 25: Contestants depart to Johannesburg, South Africa.

November 28: Miss World Top Model 2009 Finals. Winner fast tracked to the semifinals.

November 29: Contestants go to the Entabeni Safari Conservancy.

December 1: Contestants depart to Cape Town, South Africa on the Blue Train.

December 4: 2010 FIFA World Cup 2010 draw.

December 5: Contestants depart to Johannesburg, South Africa

December 6: Miss World Talent 2009 Finals. Winner fast tracked to the semifinals.

December 10: National Directors Meeting.

MISS EARTH 2009 - NATIONAL. CONTESTANTS & FINAL RESULT

Miss Earth 2009, the 9th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, will be held on November 22, 2009 in the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center, Island of Boracay, Philippines. The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations. About 90 contestants from different countries and territories are expected to compete in the event. At the conclusion of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2008 Karla Henry of the Philippines will crown her successor.
